We ordered our usual items from other sushi places like Dragon roll, California roll, salmon and tuna rolls. I didn’t realize the salmon and tuna rolls were raw, and I usually don’t eat raw meat or fish at all, but OMG, they tasted amazing. I had no idea fresh raw salmon and tuna could be this good. I wish we lived closer to this restaurant so we could have sushi every day. Definitely one of the must-try sushi spots in Canada. ”

“ As a 100% Japanese, Sushi Modo is my absolute favorite place to eat. They make the rice just right. Not squishy, not hard. They also make the sushi good with that perfect rice. They don’t squeeze it and it has the perfect balance. I love their atmosphere. After a busy day at work, all you want is a quiet relaxing place with good service and food. “ Came for lunch! Good amount of seating inside. Our group of 2 was sat at a larger booth by a window (that could fit 4 to 6). I had their 14.95 Roll Combo with California roll, tuna roll and salmon roll. It was really good! The California roll was standard and fair-sized, but the tuna and salmon rolls stole the show. They tasted so fresh. Not fishy at all, and the salmon was the perfect amount of sweet. Service was very attentive and friendly even though we ordered using the tablet at the table - it even allows for manual bill splitting! Our server came to check on the food midway through our meal. By the time we left around 1 pm on a weekend, the restaurant was more filled with diners. I've been to their Burnaby location, and was happy to see that the Port Moody Sushi Modo is also a solid spot for Japanese food. Would recommend if in the area! They have a parking lot but are also very close to Moody Centre station for those taking public transit. ”

“ Came here on Mother's Day for dinner and it did not disappoint! I've ordered takeout from there before, so this was our first dine-in experience. It was super packed and busy, but we had reserved a table a few days prior (quick tip: they don't take reservations after 6PM!). We ordered the Chef's Choice and while the pricing was a little steep, the quality of the food had justified it. Some family favourites included the oshi sushi (so flavorful!), the rolls (especially the mango one) and appetizers were incredibly good. The only minor criticism was that the tempura wasn't as crispy as we had hoped. Overall, we left very full and super satisfied. Service, despite being busy on a Sunday night, was still quite attentive with the attendants checking on us regularly. In addition, they also have free parking - which is a nice plus! Looking forward to coming again! ”
